Finally a Post

Well as you can see i am still trying to get the hang of this. We have survived the holidays and we are all doing fine. The year so far has gone by just fine and no one has really gotten sick, (knocking on wood) just your typical cold and cough. David still at Cable One and doing fine. Chris enjoying his last year in middle school, busy with early morning jazz band and joined the chess club after school, and has just earned a 4.0 this last semester. He'll be in the Science Olympia next week and he is all registered for high school next year which was an adventure. We will be going to trimester and had to choose a career path which was Engineering & Industrial Pathway, lots of electronics, robotics and math, biology, (Mr. smartie pants) he is also taking spanish so that he can understand what David and I talk about behind their backs, ha! ha! He will be getting up early cuz he is also enrolled in early morning marching band not by choice but because if he wants jazz and symphonic band they require you take marching band, probably cuz no one would take it, luckly its only one semester. Dylan and Connor are doing just great. Dylan loves to read. He is also in Tavaci, childrens choir afterschool every Monday, he will have a concert in May. Connor loves art, he is always drawing something. He is very creative. Me, keeping up with everybody. I have been watching a 17 month old little girl and it has been fun. Challening at times cuz I have forgotten how time consuming a toddler is, when she takes a nap believe me so do I. My calling has been busy, we have had two baptims and one more next week and a possible fourth. Yeah. It has been a neat exprience in seeing these people progress and accept the gospel. Well that about covers how we are doing. Hope you are all doing great and we love and miss you all. Take care. XOXOXO

First Lego League Robotics Competition

At the FLL, we were supposed to build and test a lego robot to complete various missions that give various amounts of points. Our team name was "Those I.D.I.O.T.S." it was an acronym for Intellegent Delightful Intellectual Outstanding Talented Students. Almost everybody eventually knew our name. Other team names included: "5 People," "Quasars," and "Thunderstruck Squirrels." We got first place for teamwork, and at the last round we got 130 points. First Round: 30 points, Second Round: 65 points. The reason we only got 30 points at the first round was because the head judge made a new rule just before we started and we had to do some emergency reprogramming. I can't wait till' next year!
This was Chris' first time and he had lots of fun. It was pretty cool to watch everyone do all sorts of missions with their robots. We are so proud of him.

Thanksgiving in Utah

Well here I am again! I am still figuring out this blogging stuff and yes I know it has been 4 months! I have to have My sister Michele show me how to do this. So my family and I drove down to Utah for Thanksgiving. We have a had a lot of fun. We are staying at my sister Michele's house, and we love to come here and spend time with Zane and her and Alan too! Also we came down to be here to welcome sister Jenny's little boy to the world. He is so cute! We love him a lot! So Thanksgiving Day we went out to my brother David's house and spent it with his family and some of Jennifer's family. The turkey pictured was her mother's recipe and it was yummy! We had a lot of fun! The next day, we continued the festivities at Michele's house. This time with a turkey that Alan, Michele and my husband all helped make. It was quite tasty too! We had all the other fixin's to go with it too! Including some really good pumpkin pie and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that Michele made. MMMM..Pie! So, it's been really fun and busy and we love coming down to Utah to be with family that I am so grateful for and I love them all very much! Also what's Thanksgiving with out shopping! Michele, Emmy and I went shopping at Target and Shade and some other stores in the mall! What fun, but it was pretty insane! One thing is for sure, as much as we love shopping, our sleep is a little bit more valuable than waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning to go be with all the crazies! What more can I say, hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
